Gerald L. Pater

Attorney

Gerald has been involved in public sector law for more than 40 years. He graduated Cum Laude from Xavier University and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.

He is admitted to practice law in all Ohio courts (1968), the United States Court of Military Appeals (1969) and the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Ohio (1973).

Mr. Pater served in the United States Army Judge Advocate General Corps and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal. He was the City Prosecutor of Hamilton from 1973 to 1988 during which time he served as Small Claims Referee until 1990. He is the Acting Judge for the Honorable Daniel J. Gattermeyer.

Mr. Pater is the past president of the Butler County Chapter of the Xavier University National Alumni Association. He is a past president and Board of Trustees member for the Butler County Bar Association. He served for nine years as a Board member for Catholic Social Services and for more than 20 years as a Board of Trustees member for the Alcohol and Chemical Abuse Council.

He is a member of the Butler County Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association.
