Clem Pater III was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 5, 1942. He is a graduate of St. Xavier High School and received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration from Xavier University. He then received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1969.

He was admitted to the practice of Law in all of the courts of Ohio in 1969. then in 1990 he was admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Mr. Pater is a member of the Butler County Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He currently serves on the Butler County Probate Committee, having recently chaired that committee.

Mr. Pater has been a member of the Board of Directors of Home Federal Savings & Loan Association of Hamilton for 19 years; served on the Board of Trustees of Senior Citizens for 18 years including as its president; was very active on the Board of Trustees for the Hamilton-Fairfield Jaycees for 13 years; and was active in the West Side Little League for a number of years.

Mr. Pater currently serves on the Planning Division of the local United Way and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Butler County Historical Society.

Mr. Pater is a life-long member of St. Peter In Chains Catholic Church where he serves as a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Gerald L. Pater was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on September 23, 1943. He graduated from Xavier University (cum laude) in 1965, and from the College of Law at the University of Cincinnati in 1968. While at Xavier, he was a member of Alpha Sigma Nu. He served in the the United States Army Judge Advocate General Corps until 1973. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal.

He has been admitted before all Ohio Courts since 1968. In 1969, he was admitted to practice before the United States Court of Military Appeals, and in 1973 before the United States District Court, Southern District of Ohio. He has served on the Board of Trustees of the Butler County Bar Association and is a Past President of the Bar Assocation. He has been a member of the American Bar Association since 1968, and of the Federal Bar Association since 1969.

Mr. Pater was the City Prosecutor of Hamilton from 1973 until 1988, and he served Small Claims referee from 1973 until 1990. He now sits, on occasion, as Acting Judge for the Honorable John G. Rosmarin.

His civic involvement includes membership on the Board of Trustees of the former Butler Warren Legal Assistance Program and he served for nine years on the board of Catholic Social Sciences. He has served for over twenty years on the Board of Trustees of the Alcohol and Chemical Abuse Council. He is presently serving as President of the Butler County Chapter of the Xavier University National Alumni Association.

Mr. Pater is a life-long member of St. Peter In Chains Catholic Church where he serves as President of the Finance Commission and as a lector.

Damon Lee Halverson, originally of Omaha, Nebraska, was born October 27, 1975. He graduated Cum Laud from Xavier University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in history. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor in 2001 from the University of Cincinnati. He began working for the Pater Law Firm in May of 2000 and became an associate in November 2001. He is currently a member of the Butler County Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

He is also certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) in DUI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing.
